| I don't know if there's a better way to start the day than this?😄👆 |
Tigernuts can be flavoured with fresh fruits and other types of flavouring eg vanilla. I am going to be sharing with you my recipe for making fresh home made flavoured tigernuts milk.
There are 3 things you should know about tigernuts and tigernuts milk:
1. Tigernuts are sun dried when undergoing post harvest processing to reduce its water content.
2. Dried tigernuts can be very hard and may be difficult for your blender to crush. You need to soak the nuts to reconstitute it, to get it fresh and a bit softer.
3. When soaking tigernuts for tigernuts milk, place the nuts in a bowl of water and keep in the refridgerator. Change the soaking water every 4hrs, this prevents fermentation. You can soak tigernuts for up to 12hours before use.
4. Tigernuts milk is highly perishable, but it can last up to 3days if well prepared and stored in the refridgerator.
